AWANA was founded in 1950 in Chicago and is a nondenominational, Bible-based, Christ-centered club that welcomes children from all backgrounds, both churched and unchurched. Today, with an unwavering commitment to the Gospel, AWANA is being used to reach over 5 million kids weekly in 134 countries. A Typical Club Night

How Discipleship Works

Every Thursday evening is broken down into three dynamic segments designed to maximize engagement, build lasting mentorships, and deepen your child's understanding of Scripture.

Game Time

Every week, kids enjoy high-energy games that get them moving and laughing. As they play alongside friends and caring leaders, they develop teamwork, sportsmanship, confidence, and meaningful connections that help them feel like they belong.

Handbook Time

Every Thursday evening is thoughtfully designed to help your child build friendships, connect with caring mentors, have fun, and grow in their understanding of God's Word.

Large Group Time

Kids gather together for engaging worship and interactive Bible lessons.

Nurtures the spiritual potential of kids through highly interactive games, fun puppet modules, creative crafts, and critical foundational scriptural building blocks.

Sparks

Ignites curiosity about Jesus through chronological walk-throughs of the Bible from Genesis to Revelation, active memory testing, and high-energy square track games.

Truth & Training focuses on cementing relational truths, answering heavy faith questions, and building everyday practical disciplines of grace and personal prayer.

Challenges students to consider their destiny in Christ and pursue a lifelong lifestyle of discipleship through deep biblical exploration and community.
